College Football: Preweek 13 Pollsand Opponents

I'm running a little late with this and two games are already played. We're gettin gdown to the last few weeks and most teams have already got ten games under their belt with just two more regular season games to be played. Only two teams remain undefeated (Florida State and Marshall) and neither is getting any respect--though FSU is, at least, in the top four. THis weeks games include some SEC teams playing FCS teams (easy peasy!) and a few FBS mismatches that should result in routs. Only UCLA vs USC and Utah vs Arizona offer "close" contests. Rankings on the left are those of the Selection Committee/AP/Coaches Top 25/CBSSPORTS.COM 128 Polls as reported by CBSSports.com. NR = Not Ranked.   1/2/2/2 Alabama (9-1) The Crimson Tide will host an FCS team, the Western Carolina Catamounts (7-4). Should be an easy game for the Tide.

2/3/3/3 Oregon (9-1) The Ducks host the Colorado Rams (2-8). Party time in Eugene.

3/1/1/1 Florida State (10-0) The Seminoles will host the Boston College Eagles (6-4). FSU will win but it’s not the type of game that will impress anyone.

4/4/4/5 Mississippi State (9-1) The Bulldogs host the Vanderbilt Commodores (3-7) Bulldogs win.

5/5/5/4 TCU (9-1) The Aggies will be idle this week.

6/7/7/7 Ohio State (9-1) The Buckeyes host the Indiana Hoosiers (3-7) and are 35 point favorites. No problem for Ohio State.

7/6/6/6 Baylor (8-1) The Bears will host the Oklahoma State Cowboys (5-5). Baylor wins.

8/8/8/8 Ole Miss (8-2) The Rebels are on the road to play the Arkansas Razorbacks (5-5). Ole Miss should win.

9/11/12/13 UCLA (8-2) The Bruins will host the #19 Southern California Trojans (7-3). A chance for the Bruins to make a PAC12 statement.

10/9/10/9/ Georgia (8-2) The Bulldogs host the Charleston Southern Buccaneers (8-3), an FCS team. Easy game for Georgia.

11/10/9/10 Michigan State (8-2) The Spartans will host my Rutgers Scarlet Knights (6-4). MSU is a HUGE favorite (22 pts at this time).

12/12/11/12 Kansas State (7-2) The Wildcats head east to play the West Virginia Mountaineers (6-4).(KSU has won this game 26-20.)

13/13/14/14 Arizona State (8-2) The Sun Devils host the Washington State Cougars (3-7). Should be a good day for the Sun Devils.

14/16/17/17 Auburn (7-3) The Tigers host the Samford Bulldogs (7-3) (an FCS team). Auburn rolls over the Bulldogs.

15/15/13/16 Arizona (8-2) The Wildcats play on the road against the #17 Utah Utes (7-3). Good game with the Utes pulling it off.

16/14/15/11 Wisconsin (8-2) The Badgers will be on the road to play the Iowa Hawkeyes (7-3). Badgers run over the Hawkeyes.

17/20/21/25 Utah (7-3) The Utes will host the #15 Arizona Wildcats (8-2). The Utes win a close one.

18/17/16/19 Georgia Tech (9-2) The Yellow Jackets are idle.

19/24/24/24 Southern California (7-3) The Trojans are making a short trip to play the #9 UCLA Bruins (8-2). At least it won’t be a long ride home after they lose.

20/19/20/20 Missouri (8-2) The Tigers are on the road to face the Tennessee Volunteers (5-5). Missouri wins.

21/23/22/22 Oklahoma (7-3) The Sooners host the Kansas Jayhawks (3-7). Another case of a huge favorite (the Sooners are 25 point favorites) and what should be a rout.

22/NR/NR/NR Clemson (7-3) The Tigers are hosting Georgia State Panthers (1-9) in what could be the biggest rout of the week. Clemson is favored by 41 points.

23/21/19/21 Nebraska (8-2) The Cornhuskers will host the #25 Minnesota Golden Gophers (7-3). Nebraska should win.

24/NR/NR/NR Louisville (7-3) The Cardinals head north to play the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame (7-3). Close game with someone winning. Depends upon who plays to lose.

25/NR/NR/NR Minnesota (7-3) The Golden Gophers hit the road to play the #23 Nebraska Cornhuskers (8-2). Nebraska.

NR/18/18/15 Marshall (10-0) The Thundering Herd put their undefeated season on the road and on the line against the UAB Blazers (5-5). The Herd should stomp ‘em.

NR/22/23/23 Colorado State (9-1) The Rams host the New Mexico Lobos (3-7). Rams win.

NR/25/25/18 Duke (8-2) The Blue Devils will play host to the North Carolina Tarheels (5-5). (North Carolina won this one 45-20.)
